Rolec EV already offers the UK’s largest range of AC fast and DC rapid charging points and these latest additions will be the most price competitive in the industry. The UltraCharge 160 is the first of three models to be introduced and to ensure suitability to the UK market, intensive testing was carried out at Rolec’s HQ in Lincolnshire for over six months. Having passed with complex testing and compliance procedures, Rolec are now able to confidently charge ahead with deliveries from February 2023. The modular and scalable ultra-rapid charging station can be upgraded in modules of 20kW, all the way up to 160kW, making it the perfect future-proof and cost-effective solution for public, fleet and highway infrastructure deployment. Offering convenient charging times for every electric vehicle on the market, the UltraCharge 160’s intelligent dynamic power balancing feature enables two vehicles to charge simultaneously and can be activated via either mobile app, RFID, Apple Pay, Google Pay or contactless card payment as well as conforming to the ISO 15118 Plug & Charge standard. We installed the first UltraCharge 160 at our HQ some 6 months ago now and since that point we have worked extremely closely with Sinexcel to further develop the product to meet the requirements of the UK market, integrating with cars, lorries, buses, and to identify features we wished to include as standard for our clients, such as a contactless payment terminal and long reach cables. With many workplaces now requiring a DC & AC charging solutions to support fleet, visitor, and employee charging, it is imperative that we can quote and deliver a reliable product with a short lead time to include within our proposal. The modular approach of Sinexcel has enabled Rolec to hold UK stock of 60/80/120/160kW models, offering next day delivery to our UK customers. With a 160kW unit retailing at £25,000 we know this product is going to be very well received by the industry!” Charles Meng, Sinexcel’s Country Director commented: “We see the partnership with Rolec as a mutual achievement of our vision for each other. It's not just a normal partnership, it's more like entering a formal relationship, like a marriage. After getting to know each other better, we share the same goals together. Sinexcel saw Rolec's passion for "zero emissions". The team is professional, precise, efficient and always surprises us, Rolec's record in EV is amazing, with a deep knowledge of the EV Charging business and always brings us new inspiration. The Sinexcel and Rolec EV teams met in Boston to formally confirm what we had in mind for each other. Together, we will move forward to a new chapter. We are proud to have such great partners. • Rolec and Monta; Making EV Charging a Whole Lot Better

Rolec and Monta; Making EV Charging a Whole Lot Better BLOG EV Charging Rolec and Monta; Making EV Charging a Whole Lot Better Chloe Sharp 20 November 2023 at 13:55:34 Whatever we can do to make your business’ transition to clean transport easier, we’re on it. We actively engage with our customers to understand their needs and challenges. A recurring concern we’ve noticed is the desire for better integration between EV charging hardware and software. Currently they seem to function independently, but it doesn’t have to be like this, right? Right. As part of our ongoing relationship with EV software provider Monta , we are making life that little bit easier. Tasking ourselves with taking apart every step of EV adoption and either simplifying it or making it better. So, to get things started we went all the way to the beginning. The genesis of the chargepoint, if you will. Quicker, easier and smarter installation: We already manufacture all our chargepoints in the UK at our custom-built factory in Lincolnshire (across the car park from my desk, actually). So, we get a behind-the-scenes look at every single step an EV charger takes before it reaches you. On one of our behind-the-scenes snooping sessions, someone asked the question: ‘what more could we be doing?’ And on that day, history was made… Ok, that’s a little dramatic, but it did kickstart some intense brainstorming for the team. And soon, our brainboxes had come up with a solution; we were able to offer pre-onboarding to Monta. The biggest benefit? For larger projects, the installer would receive an invite to the ‘Installer Job’ on the Monta portal once units were dispatched to them. Where the entire network of chargepoints would be uploaded and waiting. No more manually entering the serial number for each unit, now the installation can be more about installing and less about admin. Cost savings and support if things go wrong: Choosing Rolec and Monta means choosing the most competitive pricing in the industry. Not too shabby right? And this comes paired with Monta’s feature-packed Enterprise Plan, reduced transaction fees and subscription costs – so more of your profit can be converted to revenue, without missing out on the advanced features that make managing your chargepoint smart. If we were to tell you the full list of features you get by pairing up with Rolec and Monta, we’d be here for an age. But we do have time to highlight some of the stars of the show: · 24/7 support via email, chat, or phone, so (as Shakira said) ‘whenever, wherever’ you can reach someone who can help. · Work from home charging - charge at home while you work from home with Monta’s ‘Sponsor a Chargepoint’ feature. All charging expenses can be managed through a shared company wallet, keeping everything accurate and in one place. How convenient. · Smart queue and booking facility – have even more control over your charging network, schedule charging for your fleet vehicles, reserve chargepoints for those that need more power and manage your vehicles all through Monta. · Dynamic and scheduled pricing tariffs – lately, the cost of electricity seems to change minute by minute and so do our energy needs. Monta’s platform lets you take advantage of fully flexible pricing; set charging pricing based on the hour-by-hour price of electricity and schedule pricing to change during set hours. • EV Chargepoint Funding for Schools and Colleges

EV Chargepoint Funding for Schools and Colleges BLOG EV Charging EV Chargepoint Funding for Schools and Colleges 26 April 2024 at 14:08:16 What funding is available? As of early February 2024, state-funded educational institutions will now have access to funding through the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS). Up to £100,000 of grant funding is available, covering up to 75% of the cost to purchase and install EV chargepoints. Through this grant funding, schools and colleges could receive up to £2,500 per socket , with a maximum of 40 sockets across all sites to be applied to designated, off-street parking facilities. Also, institutions that are part of an academy can apply for up to 40 sockets per institution within the group. The Benefits of EV Charging in Schools It’s not just about funding. There are so many other reasons to install electric car chargers at your school or college. Here are just a few: By setting an example to students and visitors, forward thinking institutions can lead the way in the adoption of electric vehicles. Not just talking the sustainability talk but also walking the sustainability walk. Providing visitors and students with the facilities to make EV charging convenient and adaptable to their needs is a step towards making your campus more accessible to environmentally conscious students. Removing a barrier to EV adoption. EV charging provides an opportunity to generate additional funding that can be fed directly back into the school and the surrounding community. Opening up chargepoints for use by the public outside of opening hours, not only is your institution becoming a charging hub, but also allows for the creation of a completely new revenue stream. Something that can be easily managed with chargepoint management software. Out of gallery Do I qualify? First and foremost, your institution needs to be located in either England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland. If you are located in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you are not eligible for funding via this grant. The educational institution must also be state-funded. This funding does not extend to privately funded schools or colleges. You must have: ● An existing or future need for charging an electric vehicle ● Designated off-street parking facilities that are clearly associated with your premises (the parking may be used by customers, guests, visitors, staff, or others) ● Had a site survey done by an installer, who has confirmed that your site can support EV charging ● Not have applied for a grant for the same chargepoint under the EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets or any other grant scheme ● Have the authority to apply for the Workplace Charging Scheme on behalf of your organisation Both the chargepoint models and your installer must be approved by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV). How do I apply for funding? Once you have checked your eligibility against the above criteria, and have carried out a site survey, you can apply for funding via the Government website . Note: You will need to provide your institution's ID, reference number or SEED in order to move forward with your application. Successful applicants will then receive a voucher code that will be valid for 180 days, that must be passed on to your chosen installer. All installations must be carried out within this 6-month period. After which point, your installer must then apply for funding using the online forms available on the Government website. Further information for installers: You must fill out an installer claim form for each institution in which you carried out a chargepoint installation. Note: Section 4 of the form must be completed by the educational institution. To accompany this, you will also need to complete a grant claim form detailing the location of all installations and the total cost of installation, as well as other relevant project information. This form can collate information from multiple different institutions. Both forms must then be emailed directly to workplacechargingscheme@dvla.gov.uk . For installers that are employed by the education institution, there is a separate application process . When is the deadline to apply? The current deadline for funding applications is 31st March 2025. Contact us to learn how we can assist you with grant applications and support the implementation of workplace charging solutions.
